Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech
Upon your arrival at the airport, we will welcome you and transfer you to your riad in the medina. Enjoy your first taste of the energy of the "Red City."
Day 2: Guided Tour of Marrakech
A local guide will take you to explore the treasures of Marrakech, including the Bahia Palace, the Saadian Tombs, and the famous Jemaa el-Fnaa square with its souks.
Day 3: Marrakech → Aït Ben Haddou → Ouarzazate
We head south, crossing the High Atlas Mountains. We will visit the Kasbah of Aït Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We will spend the night in Ouarzazate, the "Hollywood of Africa."
Day 4: Ouarzazate → Todra Gorge → Merzouga (Desert)
We will travel along the Route of a Thousand Kasbahs, stopping at the spectacular Todra Gorge. Then, we will head into the desert to Merzouga, where a camel ride will take us to our camp for a night under the stars.
Day 5: Exploring the Merzouga Desert
A full day to explore the secrets of the Sahara. By 4x4, we will visit the village of Khamlia to listen to Gnawa music, share tea with nomads, and search for fossils in lunar landscapes.
Day 6: Merzouga → Ziz Valley → Ifrane → Fez
After sunrise, we travel toward Fez, crossing the Ziz Valley and the cedar forests of the Middle Atlas, where we may spot Barbary macaques. Arrival in Fez in the afternoon.
Day 7: Guided Tour of Fez
A full day dedicated to exploring the medina of Fez, the oldest and largest in Morocco, with a local guide. You will discover its souks, madrasas, and the famous tannery.
Day 8: Fez → Meknes & Volubilis → Rabat
We depart for the imperial city of Meknes and the nearby Roman ruins of Volubilis. In the afternoon, we continue to Rabat, the capital of the kingdom, for the night.
Day 9: Rabat → Casablanca → Marrakech
In the morning, we will visit the highlights of Rabat (Hassan Tower, Kasbah of the Oudayas). Then, we will make a stop in Casablanca to see the exterior of the Hassan II Mosque before returning to Marrakech.
Day 10: Departure from Marrakech
After breakfast, and depending on your flight time, you will have free time for last-minute shopping before we transfer you to the airport for your departure.
