Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Casablanca → Rabat → Meknes → Fez
We begin our journey from Casablanca, heading first to Rabat for a brief visit to the capital. Then we continue to the imperial city of Meknes, before arriving in Fez in the afternoon. You'll check into your riad and have time for a first taste of the fascinating medina.
Day 2: Fez → Ifrane → Midelt → Merzouga Desert
After breakfast, we leave Fez and head south. We'll cross the Middle Atlas, stopping in Ifrane, known as the "Switzerland of Morocco," and in the cedar forests of Azrou. After passing through the Ziz Valley, we'll arrive in Merzouga. There, we'll swap our vehicle for camels for an unforgettable sunset ride across the dunes of Erg Chebbi, ending at a camp where we'll have dinner and spend the night.
Day 3: Merzouga → Todra Gorge → Dades Valley
Wake up early to watch the sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast, we'll return to Merzouga by camel. We'll continue our journey toward the impressive Todra Gorge, a canyon perfect for a hike. Then, we'll follow the Route of a Thousand Kasbahs to the Dades Valley, famous for its rock formations. Dinner and overnight stay at a hotel in the valley.
Day 4: Dades Valley → Ouarzazate → Aït Ben Haddou → Marrakech
On our last day, after breakfast, we'll continue toward Ouarzazate, "the gateway to the desert." Our main stop will be the Kasbah of Aït Ben Haddou, a spectacular ksar declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Finally, we'll cross the Tizi n'Tichka pass in the High Atlas to reach Marrakech in the afternoon, where we'll drop you off at your accommodation, ending the tour.
