Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Fez → Ifrane → Cedar Forest → Midelt → Ziz Valley → Merzouga

We set off early from Fez, heading south. We will cross the Middle Atlas, stopping in Ifrane, and then in the cedar forest of Azrou to see the Barbary macaques. We will continue to Midelt for lunch. In the afternoon, we will cross the impressive Ziz Valley before reaching Merzouga. There, our camels await to carry us across the dunes to our desert camp. Enjoy dinner and an evening of Berber music.

Day 2: Exploring the Merzouga Desert

Today we will dedicate the day to exploring the desert region in a 4x4 vehicle. We will visit the village of Khamlia to listen to Gnawa music, share tea with a nomadic family, and see the fossil mines. You will have the chance to experience the immensity and tranquility of the Sahara. We will spend a second night in the desert, either at the same camp or at a hotel at the foot of the dunes.

Day 3: Merzouga → Rissani → Todra Gorge → Dades Valley

After watching the sunrise and having breakfast, we head to Rissani to visit its traditional market. Then, we will travel to the impressive Todra Gorge, a rock canyon perfect for a walk. In the afternoon, we will follow the "Road of a Thousand Kasbahs" to reach the spectacular Dades Valley, where we will have dinner and spend the night.

Day 4: Dades Valley → Ouarzazate → Aït Ben Haddou → High Atlas → Marrakech

After breakfast, we will continue to Ouarzazate, known as the "Gateway to the Desert." We will visit the Kasbah of Taourirt and the film studios (optional). Our main stop will be the incredible Kasbah of Aït Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Finally, we will cross the spectacular Tizi n'Tichka pass in the High Atlas Mountains, arriving in Marrakech in the late afternoon.
